These Terms govern your use of smarthold.dog and any pre-order or reservation you place for the Smart Hold™ dumbbell. By using the site or reserving a unit, you agree to these Terms.
Plain-language summary (not a substitute for the full text): This is a pre-order. You pay a refundable $25 deposit to reserve a unit. The balance and shipping are charged only when your unit ships. You can cancel for a full deposit refund any time before shipment. Smart Hold is a training tool, not a competition-legal device.
1. Who we are
Smart Hold™ is a product of 3PS Lab LLC ("3PS Lab," "we," "us," or "our"). "Smart Hold," the Smart Hold logo, and related marks are trademarks of 3PS Lab LLC. Contact us at info@smarthold.dog.
2. Pre-orders & reservations
The Competitors Run is a limited pre-order of the first 100 units. Placing a reservation requires a $25 refundable deposit, processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. The deposit reserves your place in the run and is applied toward your unit's purchase price.
- Expected unit price: $85, plus applicable taxes and shipping, charged when your unit ships.
- Reservations are limited to one unit per customer.
- Reservations are available to customers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Other regions may join the interest list.
- A reservation is not a completed sale and does not guarantee delivery by any specific date.
3. Pricing & payment
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars. The $25 deposit is collected at reservation. The remaining balance, plus shipping (calculated at live carrier rates) and any applicable taxes or duties, is charged at or before shipment. We may correct pricing errors and will notify you before charging any balance.
4. Refunds & cancellation
Your $25 deposit is fully refundable at any time before your unit ships. See our Refund & Deposit Policy for full details and how to request a refund.
5. Shipping & timing
The Competitors Run is estimated to ship by the end of 2026, ahead of our full launch in Q2 2027. All ship dates are estimates only and may shift as we finalize manufacturing. We will keep reservation holders informed of material changes.
6. Product nature & intended use
Smart Hold is a training and evaluation tool intended to help handlers identify and reward calm holds. It is not represented as legal for use in any sanctioned competition, and competition rules vary by federation. You are responsible for compliance with the rules of any organization in which you participate. Product images on the site are renderings and the final product may vary.
7. Companion app
Configuration and session features described on the site are delivered through a companion app expected to be available at launch. Features are under development and may change.
8. Intellectual property
All site content, designs, marks, and the underlying product (which is patent pending) are owned by 3PS Lab LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The site and any pre-order are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, 3PS Lab LLC disclaims all implied warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to a reservation is limited to the amount you paid us (i.e., the deposit).
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes affecting active reservations will be communicated to reservation holders by email.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which 3PS Lab LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
